This notice explains the cookies and similar browser storage that Sublex Chat uses. The short version: we use only what is needed to sign you in and to make the chat work. There is no advertising, and no analytics or tracking.
1. Cookies we use on the Sublex Chat dashboard and site

These are strictly necessary for the service to function. Without them you could not stay signed in or run the demo. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require a consent banner — which is why you do not see one.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics scripts. Our error monitoring runs entirely on our servers, so it places no code and no cookies in your browser.
2. The chat widget on other businesses' websites
When you meet a Sublex-powered assistant on a business's own website, the widget does not set cookies. To make the conversation work, it uses your browser's own storage instead:
- Session storage (cleared when you close the tab): remembers the current
conversation thread and, if the business uses one, your pre-chat form entry, so a reply from a colleague reaches you and the panel does not reset as you browse.
- Local storage (kept on your device): a single marker recording that the
chat bubble has already been shown, so it is not re-announced to you every time.
This storage stays in your browser and is functional only — it is not used to track you across websites. Each business that runs an assistant is responsible for its own cookie and privacy notice on its own site.
3. Managing cookies and storage
You can control or clear cookies and browser storage in your browser's settings. Blocking the essential cookies in section 1 will stop the dashboard and the demo from working. Clearing the widget's storage simply starts a fresh conversation.
